is one of the oldest families in Solingen.
Karl Clauberg, second generation
Karl Clauberg, the second generation,
has started as a outworker
at the "Steinhaus" of the company Zwilling.
Formation of the company Karl Clauberg GmbH
Karl Clauberg has also started as an outworker at the company Zwilling from Solingen.
He has founded the company Profilschleiferei Karl Clauberg GmbH in 1970.
First he has started as an one-man operation located at the Ritterstraße.
His special grinding techniques and grinding machines has offered to solve many processing problems of other cutlery manufacturers. Soon the building was too small so that the company had to move again.
A new place was found at the Eintrachtstraße in 1976. Eight well educated grinders have produced all kind of cutleries until the year 2000.
Steady expansion of the machinery had required another moving to a former stamp shop building in 2001.
Next Generation – new building
Frank Buchmüller, Karl Clauberg's son-in-law, takes over the family business in 2003.
The factory was updated with all kind of enviromental equipment to create a nice climate for our workers and the enviroment.
The company is equipped with CNC grinding machines state-of-the-art. We are proud to grind, fine grind, polish, fine polish, hollow grind, back grind, gear grind, grind serrated and hollow edges of all different kind of blades.
We steadily update our machinery and methods to solve our costums problems with the maximum of perfection!
